Attorney Siew-Ling Shea has been working in family law since May 2001 — first as a paralegal and then as an attorney at Rogers, Kamm & Shea. Shea attended high school in Singapore and came to the United States for her undergraduate studies at Bryn Mawr College, Pennsylvania, as a scholarship student. She later transferred to and graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Sociology. Shea attended an accelerated paralegal program at Southeastern Paralegal Institute in Nashville, Tennessee (ABA approved), graduating with honors. Shea earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Nashville School of Law and is a member of Cooper’s Inn, an honorable society reserved for students graduating in the top 10% of their law school class. Shea is licensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee and in the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Tennessee. She is a Rule 31 Listed Civil Mediator and a trained collaborative divorce lawyer. Shea is also a Rule 21 Tennessee Supreme Court Approved Mentor Attorney for new lawyers. Shea is a board member and Director of Training for Middle Tennessee Collaborative Alliance, a group of legal, financial, and mental health professionals trained to facilitate a collaborative divorce. She also serves in the Tennessee Bar Association Family Law Executive Council. Professional memberships include: John Marshall American Inn of Court, Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators, Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association, Williamson County Bar Association, Lawyers Association for Women.
